Stop this train...
January 28, 2014
Hi everyone......
OHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHH
This week was a straight thrilla....
Questions:
1. Who were the girls baptized last week? That was the familia Ordoñez. They were so dang pilas haha. We are working hard with the brother and the rest of the family to get them dunked!!!! YEAHHHHHHH
2. What other investigators do you have lined up? We're working with a lot of people that they just need to go to church. People that have gotten their answers but they just don't go to church. That's where that patience is coming in. Right now we have.... Jonathan, Victor and Andrea, Hilda, Magaly, Adriana (Wife of Edison Muñoz, he went to church this Sunday for the first time in forever. When he saw the pictures he told me "I'm going to church" and I'm like yeah right whatever haha but he went!! We'll see what happens!!!) Those are the most positives!!
3. Is Mena coming around a bit? A little bit. I try to joke with him but he is seriously so hardened that he just doesn't get the onda haha. He reminds me so much of Elder Ucles haha.
4. How is the liderazgo over there? It's great. We have every single of the recient converts going to church and that is like a freaking miracle in this country.
5. Have you bumped into Juan/Naty Munoz (or tasted her food) No we haven't. It's hard because they aren't big fans of the missionaries or the Mormons. I think that is why dad never know who the Pablos were because they are family but if they could choose, they wouldn't be hahaha.
We had a good week. It's looking good for the next coming time. We had 10 investigators in church and 4 families. It is going good right now. We are just fishing right now for the best investigators and working with the ones that actually want to progress. It's looking good. Just want to get Luis to church haha.
The picture of Luis is of him and my glasses, he wanted to see if he could see with them because he can't see well enough to read the Book of Mormon. His kids read what we left them and read it out loud but Luis was watching tv and didn't pay much attention. I find it a little hard to teach him because with every other person I just give it to them hard and with him I just can't open the scriptures and give it to him super hard. I guess it's just lack of faith. The opposite of faith is fear. But we are working there. He is so awesome. I can't believe that I am teaching him. Dad, call him and talk to him!! He needs to get baptized!!
I loved the picture of Chode killing it in Brasil with a freaking hole in his wall hahahahahahahahahahahah I laughed so hard I almost peed. That kid is a legend. I don't really talk to anyone anymore. Just pretty much Chode but we still haven't missed a week in the mission.... Gay? I think not!
I had a freaking Liahona/Ensign party hahahaha I found that picture of Daisy in a Liahona of like 2007 and the Picture of Brent and Kristy. It was actually pretty cool and baggy at the same time. Loving life haha.
It was a good week but not much to write. Everything is good and we're trying to have fun. I love you all and thanks for everything you've given and done for me!!!

Hi everyone.....
I'll just get straight to the questions.......
Questions:
1. Any Luis sightings? Waiting for a pic of my son with my Guatemalan brother. Well everything is super good right there haha. He remembers every single thing about you. He wants all the pictures that you have of him and he wants pictures of the things that he made for you. Like with you in them showing them off. He's an awesome dude. I'll tell a little later.....
2. Any luck finding Naty and Juan Munoz? I ran into Carolina the other day and she has pictures of you with them. The thing about them is that they are super super super evangelicos and don't want anything to do with the chuch haha. but we are trying to find Nata and Juan. Juan is the brother of Mariano Pablo. The super pilas family that are members. Super ootz
3. Tell us about your new companion. His name is Elder Mena hahaha. I swear that it isn't possible for me to stay with just one comp for one change. It's alright though. He is a good guy. I'll be fine.
4. Do you want me to send the quad with Nery's name on or off. Do I send it to his address? Send it to him because that way it will get there faster. And if it doesn't get there it just gets sent right back to you....
Awesome week!!! Started it off right with 3 baptisms!!!!!! There was only one really really down point.... My papa went home today in the morning. Super sad haha I love that dude. He's my best friend here in the mission (that I didn't know before) and now I don't know if I'll ever get to see him again. I know it's kind of babyish but ask me if I care haha. He helped me a lot. Super awesome dude. At least I got to see him yesterday and give him a huge hug. He will get married soon. hahaha
Well I stayed with my comp and that is just fine with me. i honestly didn't know what was going to happen with the changes and I just hoped that I could say. The night before i just was praying so hard so that I could stay. I know we're here for a reason. Maybe because we've had a lot of success. But whatevs haha. We'll see what happens!!! Loving it and hitting it hard.
I had a good long talk with Elder Hintze yesterday. Soooo good to see him haha. The first thing that he said to me when he saw me was, "WHY DID YOU HAVE TO BE MY COMPANION!!!!! Because now it's not going to be good with anyone else in my msision!!!!" It was funny. I guess it was a hard change down there. The didn't have much success and didn't get along. But he's killing it in Escuintla. I would love to go back to the coast again haha. I miss it.
I had a really cool experience this Sunday. We were looking so hard for Luis Guzman and we finally found out exactly where he lived. We went there at like 7 and his daughter answered the door and I asked for him and she said one second. He came over on his crutches and said hi and everything. I presented myself and he said "¿Usted es hijo de un Tyler Hanson?" and I was like WHATTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!. I told him yes and he let us in and we talked for awhile with them. It was so amazing. I am hoping for a huge miracle with them. He is awesome and so nice a so special but he doesn't seem to be super interested in the message. PRAY FOR HIM. His kids are super awesome and they seem so interested. We'll see what we can do there. He remembers dad like it was yesterday haha. So awesome. How dad used to bring him little drawings and make him make telares for him. And how he would go into the house and jsut lay out on his bed. He lives in the same house and everything. He jsut doesn't have the loom anymore. He is awesome man. SOOOOOOOOO AWESOMMEEEEEE!!!!!!!
Super cool conference with Elder Cook. Super blessed to have him here. He taught us so many things that helped us so much. Mostly, he talked about love and how we need to love everyone, whatever the case. It was so awesome. I LOVED IT!!!!
We made bricks this p day and that was freaking awesome haha Pictures are coming!!!
I love you so much. I love this place. I will do whatever i can with Luis. I can't even believe this happened!!! Have a great week!!! I LOVE YOUUUUUU!!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!! FROM EL TEJAR
Hey everyone..... Let`s get it started with the preguntitas...
How is Neri? He`s doing great. I love that guy haha. He really is so funny. I love it because lots of people go inactive and then start going to another church but he still even wears his garments and keeps all the commandments. He`s a great dude.
Have you tracked down Luiz Guzman yet? Well everyone told me that he died. So i was pretty disappointed because of that. But I brought the pictures to the Pablo family and they all know him and that he still lives here. I will find him this week!!! Also I found the house where dad lived and I will be taking pictures there very soon!!!!!!!!!! Super sick.
How come there are more elders in your pictures? I thought you and your comp were the only ones in El Tejar? We are the only ones in El Tejar. But there are other Elders in Tzumpango which is in our ward. Other area.
Did you have any baptisms this week? We didn`t baptize this week but we have three for this sunday coming up!!
Take a pic of your apartment if you get a chance... I`ll get it done master!! I really have no time. Here is crazy with all the missionaries and having meetings all the time. We get studies in the house and that`s it. I need to take more pictures..
1. How long does Mena have in the Tejar? He`s been here for 3 months. It looks like he`ll probably be out this Tuesday in changes.
2. Who are you teaching? We have the Familia Ordoñez who are going to get baptized this sunday. 3 teenagers and then the next sunday will be their brother. Ruth, Allison, Erika and Antonio. We`re working hard with the rest of the fam.
3. How is your health? I`m good. I have permenant boo which is normal. But yeah I`m really good. Been really really blessed.
4. Any luck finding the Munoze (Naty and Juan), or definitively what happened to Luis Guzman? If you find the Munoz family, get naty to cook you some good ol' beans and eggs. THE best cook I've ever saw down there. Oh yeah, and baptize the whole bunch of them! Well the deal with them. It ws actually pretty cool because i showed the pictures to the Pablo family and they just freaked out haha. Juan is the tio of them and they all know him. They are die hard evangelicos. I haven`t gone to talk to them but we will go this week. Supuestamente Jose the kid slammed the door pretty hard core in the face of my comp when they were in divisions. Who knows there. Solo Dios va?
5. Are you still only eating one meal with the cocinera? Yeah that`s how it is in the whole mission. We aren`t allowed to eat dinner with just members. But the people always feed us. The converts and the investigators. It`s so awesome. There is always food.
WHOoOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Everything is totally suavesito!!!! We`re doing really well out here. I`m loving this area.
We have changes this tuesday coming up and so I will be writing next week on thursday because Wednesday we have a meeting with ELDER COOK!!! WHOOOOOO gonna be sick. It`s looking like Elder Mena will be out of here and I`ll get someone else. Stoked!!
We had another good week. I`m totally wrecked from all the work haha I love it. I wouldn`t have it any other way. We have this investigator that is from the U.S. His first language is english and he grew up in L.A. But he`s down here now and he`s had a super hard life and it`s crazy haha but he went to church with his wife. We`re really hoping for some miracles with him. A possible one for next change.
It`s going by so fast. This changes had flown and It`s so weird. I love it though. This place is so great. Mom I have Shenandoah on my Ipod by the mo tab. I`ll brush up on it a couple times before I get home. I love you mom! I`ll sing you whatever you want!! I love our times at the piano. All the practices that you helped me with. So awesome.
I LOVE YOU DAD!!!!! HAPPPPPYYYYY BIRTHDAYYYYYYYY!!!!!!! I`ll write you another email aparte. Nery muñoz says hi and that he loves you and remembers you. He wants to come up and see you (and me) in October.
Have a great week my friends. Wherever you my be. The mission or in the home doesn`t matter. Do what you know to do and do it right and just straight get it done!!!!!

OOOOOOOOOiiiiiii!!!
January 7, 2013
Well hey everyone....
This week was another awesome week here in El Tejar. We taught a lot and got a lot of stuff done. We also found out that Quentin L Cook is coming to talk to us on the 22nd right after changes. It-s gonna be awesome!!!!!!!!! We had a crazy week haha.
We baptized again. 6 in the ward on Sunday!! The ward-s goal is 36 in the year and they wanted us to have 9 by march but we already have 9. I hope it continues the same!!
This Sunday we had 240 people in church. It was a record of all time. It-s so awesome to see the difference from when dad was here. So much different!!
We married a little family on friday and it was a straight up massacre. It was so crazy hahahaha. We planned it for 5 o-clock and that everyone was there at 4. At 5 everyone was there except for the freaking LAWYER HAHAHAHA. Well he didn-t get there until like 6:30 and then we got started after the sun went down. Normally that-s not a problem but the thing was that a light post had fallen down the day before (yes I had to shower with cold water.....) and there was no light. So we improvised chapin style and got it done with candles. They are married de todos modos. So it-s all good. Great chapin memories!!!!!
A couple questions for dad...
Did the people do that finger snap thing? Like when someone does something funny or gets hurt or when they want someone to hurry up, they do that thing with their fingers that makes that sharp snapping noise?? I love it haha.
Did you know Marina Martinez? and Julio Guaran? Julio Guaran was the one in the picture. He baptized for us.
It was a great week. I don-t know why we are being so blessed right now. We are just doing what we need to do and we just keep finding people that just want to go to church and progress. I love this area. i love the people here. It-s so much fun to be able to just work and not care about anything else. Thi is the best time of the life. Loving every minute of it. Even though people reject us hard core here haha. I love it. I love you all!! Thank you for everything!!!!!!!
I LOVE YOU!!
